About the position

The Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Outpatient Infusion Therapy position is located at 205 N. East Ave, Jackson - Anderson Building. This is a contingent role requiring 1-2 days of work per week, Monday to Friday, with one weekend requirement per month and two holidays (half day) per year. The clinic provides non-oncology infusions such as IV hydrations, iron, blood administration, and specialty infusions for Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Osteoporosis, and Endocrinology. The candidate will be part of a team-oriented culture with great nurse/patient ratios and will benefit from being part of a Magnet-designated clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
  • Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and family.
  • Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team.
  • Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
  • Reports directly to the Unit Manager/Unit Director and meets all accountabilities of a Registered Nurse.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
  • BSN required; if ADN, must be willing to enroll in an accredited BSN program within 3 years of start date and obtain BSN within 5 years of start date.
  • Minimum of 1 year RN experience in inpatient or outpatient settings.
  • Infusion and IV experience such as peripheral IVs, accessing ports, and performing PICC line dressing changes.
  • Previous 1-2 years of recent related clinical nursing experience.
