About The Position

As an Ambulatory Care Unit RN at Novant Health's Rowan Medical Center, you'll be trusted to deliver expert care to our patients prior to surgery. Requirements

• 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree, preferred
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required
• One year relevant experience, preferred

Nice To Haves

• Successful completion of a Board approved refresher course if RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more

Responsibilities

• Get patients ready for surgery
• Start IVs
• Complete consent forms
• Help surgeons administer medications in the pre-op area
• Make sure patient is ready to go back to the OR when the OR team comes to get the patient
• Communicate with anesthesia team and surgeon regarding assessments and patient history
