Unit Highlights Nurses on 3NW specialize in the treatment of advanced heart failure. We provide care for medically complex patients requiring advanced treatment options for heart failure such as: continuous infusion of IV inotropic drugs, left ventricular assist devices (LVAD), heart transplants, ultra filtration, and high-risk medications used to manage pulmonary hypertension. Our patient population depends on the success of our multidisciplinary team, and a holistic model of care to support them as they cope through their heart failure journey. Key Responsibilities As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team .
