Registered Nurse (RN) Advanced Heart Failure IMC 3NW
About The Position
Unit Highlights Nurses on 3NW specialize in the treatment of advanced heart failure. We provide careâ¯for medically complex patients requiring advanced treatment options for heart failure suchâ¯as: continuous infusion of IV inotropic drugs, left ventricular assist devices (LVAD),â¯heart transplants, ultra filtration, and high-risk medications used to manage pulmonaryâ¯hypertension. Our patient population depends on the success of our multidisciplinaryâ¯team, and a holistic model of care to support them as they cope through their heart failureâ¯journey. With both Magnet and Pathway to Excellence designations, we join an elite group as one of only two hospitals nationwide with active dual designations for nursing excellence and an outstanding work environment, as recognized by the ANCC. Key Responsibilities As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs-from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team.
Requirements
- ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
- Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross).
Nice To Haves
- Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
