About The Position

Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• State of Massachusetts RN licensure (or eligibility).
• BLS Certification.
• Advanced AVADE training - annually.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a positive attitude, professional demeanor, and compassionate care while utilizing active listening skills.
• Maintains current licensure and certifications as per job description and keeps current on assigned education and training tasks.
• Follows Hand-Off Communication policy as appropriate.
• Utilizes Standard Universal Precautions.
• Responds to patient needs in a timely manner, including answering call lights.
• Ensures that patient's pain is well controlled.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, peers, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Identifies patient's individual needs, problems, issues, concerns, and considers chronological and developmental levels.
• Demonstrates clinical competence in de-escalation techniques.
• Participates in ongoing clinical education to ensure competency and currency specific to Psychiatry.
