About The Position

This position is an Hourly position with a pay range of $32.61 - $49.28/hour, based on years of licensure. Additionally, there is a night shift differential of $4.00/hr and a weekend differential of $3.25/hr. Sign-On Bonus Eligible! A $15,000 sign-on bonus is available with a 1 year work commitment for new graduates and external candidates. The position has limited weekend requirements, which are self-scheduled per a 6 week plotter based on years of RN experience. The vacation and holiday time off plan is generous, with OSF investing in candidates from day 1. Candidates with 5+ years of direct experience will receive 24 hours of vacation and holiday time available for use beginning on day 1, in addition to other time-off benefits. The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED operates in units that provide 24/7 care in the hospital, protecting, promoting, and restoring health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of Registered Nurse licensure.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan).
• Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date of employment.

Nice To Haves

• BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
• Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment.
• Basic proficiency in Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

• Protect, promote and restore health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of Registered Nurse licensure.
• Collaborate with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum.
• Assess and support physical symptoms, providing psychological support to patients, friends, and families.
• Mentor assigned team members and promote best practices.
• Maintain professional disposition at all times.
