Department 4 Adult Psych The following positions within Inpatient Adolescent Psychiatry, Inpatient Adult Psychiatry, Psychiatric Emergency Services, CARES, and Outpatient Behavioral Health Services are offering the opportunity to enroll in a program offering a cash incentive to recognize your work treating patients with substance use disorders. This program is sponsored through the ACCESS (Advancing Careers, Competencies, and Equity in Substance Treatment Services) grant. Employees must be >0.6 FTE to be eligible. 50% of the bonus will be received 90 days after signing the program contract. Program is available until grant funds are exhausted. Registered Nurses (RNs) may earn up to $7,500. Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) may earn up to $3,500. Care Navigators may earn up to $3,500.

  • Assess the needs of individuals, families and/or communities to identify potential health or safety problems
  • Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records
  • Monitor, record and report symptoms and changes in patient’s condition and vital signs
  • Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patient’s responses and conditions
  • Develop and modify patient care plans as indicated by patient’s responses and conditions
  • Prepare patients for, and assist with examinations and treatments
  • Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
  • Monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity
  • Direct and supervise less skilled nursing/health care personnel
  • Instruct individuals and families on health education and disease prevention and after care
  • Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent or disabled patients
  • Medication administration, documentation and reassessment
  • Promote positive patient experience
  • Associate's Degree Required
  • Less than 1 year of work experience; one year experience in a direct patient care setting preferred
  • BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association or American Red Cross Required
  • RN-Registered Nurse - DORA - Department of Regulatory Agencies Required
  • Knowledge and applicability of the principles of growth and development over the life span
  • Ability to use medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care
  • Skilled in maintaining effective working relationship with patients, employees, and the public
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
  • Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Microsoft Office Suite required; EPIC documentation preferred
