Fairview Health Services is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) on the Adult Critical Care Float Pool at the M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center - West Bank Campus in Minneapolis, MN. The Adult Critical Care Float Pool RN will provide care to medical surgical adult patients with sophisticated medical conditions that require close observation, monitoring, and interventions. This unique department is a specialty group comprised of highly skilled experts that support patient care throughout the hospital. We are conveniently located on the West Bank of the Mississippi River near downtown Minneapolis. About Our Adult Critical Care Float Pool at the UMMC West Bank: As an Adult Critical Care Float Pool RN, you will primarily float to the ICU or ED. You will also train to support the Critical Care RN Flyer Role: a hospital resource RN role which serves any adult nursing need that arises on UMMC West Bank, including ACLS support in critical situations. In a less frequent capacity, you may float to IMC, Telemetry, General Med/Surg, and Orthopedic units. Adaptability, willingness to learn, and critical thinking skills are all important to be successful in this position. We are looking for someone who will accel in a fast-paced environment, someone who knows how to problem solve, who is flexible and collaborative, and who is dedicated to always putting the patient first. The ability to problem solve effectively, adapt to a constantly evolving environment, and to work under stress in a variety of situations is key. The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act.
