About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Care Up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus (for Part-time, 24 hours weekly) Take the next step in your nursing career. What You’ll Do: Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals with acute medical needs.Conduct detailed assessments and develop individualized care plans that support recovery.Administer medications, IV therapies and treatments with precision and adherence to best practices.Monitor patient conditions, responding proactively to changes and adjusting care plans as needed.Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery strategies and long-term health management.Collaborate with physicians, specialists and healthcare teams to ensure seamless, coordinated care. Location: This position is based at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, IL, part of Memorial Health’s network of care.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing required
  • Licensed RN in Illinois
  • CPR certification required or must be completed during onboarding
  • New graduates and experienced RNs welcome

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred
  • 2-3 years of acute care experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care in alignment with hospital policies and clinical standards.
  • Monitor patient progress, document care interventions and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Support patient education efforts to enhance understanding and self-care management.
  • Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Assist in training, mentoring and onboarding new nurses and students.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital safety protocols, infection control measures and regulatory requirements.
