About The Position

UVA Health is seeking experienced RNs to join our award-winning interdisciplinary team within our 600+ bed Academic University Medical Center. In the float pool, you have the ability to float to all areas within your level of care, as well as learn new nursing areas and increase exposure to all specialties. We are looking for versatile, flexible, team players who want to expand their knowledge and join our float pool. Here, you will be joining a team of nationally recognized physicians, nurses, surgeons, and specialists known for their quality of care, positive outcomes, innovative treatments, technologies, and research. Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
• 1 year of relevant experience.
• Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective direct care as part of the interdisciplinary team to a variety of complex patients.
• Manage care and implement treatment plans in collaboration with patients, their families, physicians, and other members of the health care team.
• Seek and provide feedback for improved clinical practice.
• Assume a beginning leadership role and seek mentoring in this process.
• Adhere to clinical documentation guidelines and engage in performance improvement activities.
• Support onboarding of new team members and precept as applicable.
