This high‑acuity, fast‑paced unit provides exceptional care to patients throughout the entire transplant journey, from pre‑transplant evaluation through post‑transplant recovery and readmissions. Our 37‑bed unit specializes in caring for patients with complex diagnoses, including: Liver Transplant (Pre & Post) Kidney Transplant Pancreas Transplant Small Bowel Transplant Hand Transplant This is a highly collaborative environment where nursing expertise is valued and professional growth is encouraged. Requirements

  • Graduation from one of the following: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher OR Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) OR Nursing Diploma Program
  • RNs without a BSN must enroll in a BSN program within two years of hire and complete the degree within seven years of their start date.
  • Current North Carolina RN license
  • BLS Certification (required)

Responsibilities

  • Plan, provide, and document patient care using the nursing process
  • Deliver care in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
  • Delegate and supervise licensed and unlicensed care team members
