About The Position

Excel at Woodbury for Rehabilitation and Nursing has an opportunity for a Registered Nurse / Clinical Risk Manager. This is a Full-time position with a wonderful Benefits Package! Duties: Our Clinical Risk Manager will promote, coordinate, and monitor the facility's preparation and execution of survey strategies. Under the leadership of our Director of Nursing and Administrator. Work directly with facility Administrator, Directors of Nursing and other staff members to ensure that the facility has a strategic plan for survey management which is designed to comply in all respects with CMS and state regulations. Will provide training and supervision to Nursing staff to address high-risk areas of exposure during surveys as well as possible litigation. Collaboratively works with other disciplines to assist in addressing pre-survey functions. Develop education for nursing teams on top deficiencies on both annual and complaint surveys. Assist facilities to determine root cause analysis of complaints and develop plans to decrease through investigations. Work with facilities to develop plans of correction, monitor compliance for mock survey plan and annual/complaint surveys. Review high-risk events with facility teams to determine root cause and facilitate QAPI plans to address. Follow up on plan initiation. Maintain open lines of communication with all employees. Develop education and train staff on new regulatory guidance from CMS or state. Provide and/or coordinate onsite support during state surveys. Assist the facility to develop responses to cited tags through IDR/IIDR’s.

Requirements

  • A minimum of three years of supervisory experience in at least a mid-level management position overseeing clinical services, infection control or a related area of responsibility.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively team build and develop positive working relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact proactively with a culturally diverse staff and patient population.
  • Must be able to work independently, prioritize responsibilities and adjust to rapidly changing priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Electronic Medical Records, preferred.
