About The Position

Younker 5 is a 22 bed Renal, Transplant, and Urology unit specializing in medical surgical patients. We are Transplant Center Certified and take pride in being one of Central Iowa’s only Kidney Transplant Centers. Our hard working team is thoroughly committed to offering a multidisciplinary approach to patient centered care involving achievement on best patient outcomes and safe discharge plans.

Requirements

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa.
• Newly licensed nurse within the last six months or less than six months acute RN experience.
• Completion of residency program within the first 12 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Successfully functions as a Registered Nurse as defined in Iowa Nursing Regulations and Practice Act.
• Provides nursing care for patients and families.
• Maintains a practice environment that reflects the ANA Code for Nurses.
• Collaborates with other caregivers.
