More about our team With a total of 40 private rooms, the 61,000-square-foot facility nearly doubles the patient capacity of the existing 24-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit at Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) Gainesville. The new facility features a designated wing for acquired brain injury and stroke patients, a large therapy suite with private rooms, and a variety of innovative rehabilitation equipment. Northeast Georgia Rehabilitation Institute provides intensive nursing, physical, occupational, and speech pathology services for adults recovering from conditions such as stroke, neurological disease, brain or spinal cord injury, and other debilitating illnesses or injuries.

  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
  • Provides care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient
  • Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
  • Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
  • Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
  • Applicants should have a current state RN license
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school
  • Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire
  • ACLS and PALS within six months of hire
  • One year of experience preferred
  • ASLS certification preferred
