About The Position

University of Washington Medical Center-Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced registered nurse to work on our Rehab unit. Our 16-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit is rated as #8 for Rehabilitation in the nation, by U.S. News and World Report, and continues to hold CARF (Commission of Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) certification. Rehab nurses provide specialized nursing care to patients with the following: spinal cord injury or disease (including tetraplegia with mechanical ventilation); acquired brain injury; stroke; tumor; amputation; neuromuscular diseases; musculoskeletal diseases; solid organ, blood, and marrow transplants; and mechanical circulatory support devices (VADs). Rehabilitation is provided by an interdisciplinary team composed of the patient and family and individuals from many health care disciplines.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of current/recent acute care med-surg nursing experience
  • Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington and BLS certification

Nice To Haves

  • Inpatient rehab nursing experience and CRRN preferred
