About The Position

Aspirus Medevac in Wisconsin Rapids, WI is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our crew! The Registered Nurse is a professional who assumes responsibility and accountability for the provision of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care provided that incorporates evidence-based practice. A key aspect of the work of Nursing is to continually improve the quality of nursing care by collecting and analyzing data. Under the direction and supervision of the Manager - MedEvac and/or their designee, this position is responsible for providing safe, comprehensive care for critically ill and/or injured patients of all ages. Care is provided in the pre-hospital setting and during inter-facility transports (IFT) by understanding and applying the specialized principles and techniques of transport paramedic practice, emergency procedures and diagnostics.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of patient care standards and practices is normally acquired through completion of a nursing program.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
  • Previous 2 years in hospital critical care.
  • Active Wisconsin RN license.
  • Active Michigan Registered Nurse license.
  • Current BLS certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider Course
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider Course
  • Valid Driver's License in the State of residence.
  • Completes all annual recurrent competency requirements.
  • Is responsible for knowledge of and performing within the regulations and scope of practice of the EMS licensing agencies.
  • CPR or BLS
  • TRAUMA NURSING CORE COURSE
  • REGISTERED NURSE LICENSE
  • RN-RN MI
  • ADVANCED CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT
  • PEDIATRIC ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT (PALS)
  • MICHIGAN EMT
  • Drivers Licenses
