Assess the condition of the patient receiving Imaging services via nursing process through identification of nursing diagnosis and expected outcomes, communicating the plan of care, implementing appropriate nursing interventions, and documenting and evaluating patient outcomes. Serve as a liaison and educational resource for Imaging Services. Serve as a resource person to other members of the Radiology health care team. The role of the registered nurse within Imaging services is multifaceted including, but not limited to delivery of nursing care throughout all aspects of the services within the department: procedures, pre-procedure care, recovery monitoring, nursing care during imaging and response to adverse drug reactions.
