About The Position

The Registered Nurse, Quality Management Coordinator will be responsible for providing leadership in the aspects of assessment, measurement, and process improvement regarding patient/resident care and organizational functions. The incumbent will develop and coordinate facility-wide accreditation and performance. The Registered Nurse, Quality Management Coordinator is a professional registered nurse who is accountable for the multiple facets of the SAVAHCS Quality Management, which is aligned under the Quality, Safety, an Value Service (QSVS). The Quality Management Coordinator works collaboratively with other Quality Management Coordinators in the Service line. Registered Nurse, Quality Management Coordinator, knowledgeable with improvement Plans. Demonstrating knowledge and the ability to apply principles of evidence-based practice. The RN, Quality Management Coordinator will provide support at the unit, Service, and organizational levels. Key responsibilities for the incumbent will be tracking, analyzing, and trending process activities in patient/resident care and organizational functions. The RN, Quality Management Coordinator is responsible for partnering with various service lines to develop, implement and sustain QM programs that ensure compliance with best clinical and service practices and accreditation standards. This includes developing and tracking of key metrics, educating stakeholders, presenting results, collaborating with stakeholders on how they will monitor, sustain and report progress or revise approach to maintain high quality care and service. Applicants should be familiar with accreditation standards and possess the ability to assess and prioritize system vulnerabilities. Applicants should also demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to support and lead teams to improve performance. The RN, Quality Management Coordinator will be required to have experience with data management systems, i.e., basic statistics, collection techniques, methods of analysis, displaying and reporting techniques, and knowledge of computers.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse, Quality Management Coordinator, knowledgeable with improvement Plans.
  • Demonstrating knowledge and the ability to apply principles of evidence-based practice.
  • Familiar with accreditation standards.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with data management systems, i.e., basic statistics, collection techniques, methods of analysis, displaying and reporting techniques, and knowledge of computers.
  • Knowledge and competence in the area of quality, utilization, and risk management and the ability to prepare, implement and evaluate educational experiences.
  • Exercise sound judgment and problem-solving skills and the ability to recognize and understand the common needs of individuals, including staff and possess qualities of leadership.
  • Effective communication, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in group settings.
  • Understands applications of new concepts, knowledge, and skills gained from education and experience to the current situation.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply principles of administration, personnel supervision and development, and effective group decision-making.
  • Posses a high degree of independence and initiative.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Nursing Management or other health-related fields.
  • A minimum of five years of working experience, either in a hospital or managed care setting.
  • Five years of experience in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Quality Management.
