About The Position

We are currently hiring a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Pulmonary team in Gainesville, FL. This role involves providing care to patients requiring specialized pulmonary treatment in a fast-paced acute care setting. Nurses on this unit play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience (within the last 4 years)
• Active Florida RN license or Multistate Compact License (required)
• Nursing Diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required before start date
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 30 days of hire
• Comfortable managing a 7:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Must live within a 60-minute commute of Gainesville, FL
• In-person interview required, including a shadow session and facility tour

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess and collect comprehensive data related to the patient’s health status
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on treatments, procedures, and medications
