General DescriptionThe pulmonary hypertension nurse will support our pulmonary providers in Clinic 2F2G. This nurse independently plans and provides professional nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures. Provides nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the scope of the RN as defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Collaborates with members of the health care team to enhance patient care by developing, supporting and educating nursing staff. Makes clinical judgments based upon current research, concepts, principles, theories, and outcomes to solve complex problems. The heart failure nurse is an integral member of a larger interdisciplinary team contributing to excellence in patient care, research, teaching, and in providing leadership to the organization.
