The Contractor shall provide health care support assisting with the Public Health Department Mission Team under the support of McDonald Army health Center (MCAHC), Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Fort Eustis, VA. The services will be of a nature and scope described in the paragraphs below. The contract Health Care Providers (HCPs) will work in conjunction with other health care providers, professionals, and non-contract personnel. Contact Tracer positions certified to perform services of the nature and scope described below: Contacts are provided with education, information, and support to understand their risk, what they should do to separate themselves from others who are not exposed, monitor themselves for illness, and the possibility that they could spread the infection to others even if they themselves do not feel ill. Begin contact tracing by warning potentially exposed individuals (contacts) of their potential exposure as rapidly and sensitively as possible. Collect information from patient with confirmed infection to help them recall everyone with whom they have had close contact during the timeframe while they may have been infectious. Perform case investigations on persons with suspected or confirmed infection. Perform duties, tasks, and roles using sound professional judgement. Coordinate cross-clinical patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals. Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to cross-clinical care, quality and cost effectiveness. Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the Military Treatment Facilities. Perform physical exam health histories, and diagnostic tests. Operate medical equipment. Provide health promotions, counseling, and education to patients and their families. Educate patients about treatment plans and follow up instructions. Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions. Direct and supervise care provide by other healthcare professionals. Accountable for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel. Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergencies. Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for informing the healthcare team of plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization. Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate. Perform nursing services identified in the TO. Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes. Orient new staff to policies and procedures, skills, and standards of practice.
