About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) position at Butler Hospital involves providing direct patient care in accordance with psychiatric and mental health nursing standards. Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RI nursing license.
• B.S.N preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care based on ANA Standards of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing.
• Participate in treatment planning and coordinate management of medical and nursing care.
• Manage discharge planning for patients.
• Coordinate psychiatric and/or medical emergencies to ensure patient safety.
• Assist other staff and accept additional assignments to complete essential patient care and unit responsibilities.
• Administer medications with knowledge of their action, mode of administration, side effects, and contraindications.
• Assume the role of Charge Nurse for the shift.

Benefits

• $3.00/hr. Charge Pay Differentials: Evenings $1.50/hr.; Nights $2.75/hr.; Weekends 15%/hr.
• $2,000/yr. RN Loan Repayment Program.
