Ball Memorial's adult oncology progressive care unit is a 25-bed unit specializes in the care of hospice/end of life care, cancer patients, patients with COPD, and those with weakness due to acute disease. This unit is one of our hospitals TBAAM (Team Based Acuity Adaptable Model) units. This model consists of an interdisciplinary team that rounds daily with the clinical nurse to provide better continuity of care for our patients.

Requirements

  • Current nursing license in the state of Indiana.
  • Experience in oncology or progressive care nursing preferred.
  • ACLS certification.
  • Chemo competency.

  • Experience with hospice/end of life care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Interest in participating in shared governance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care in a progressive level of care environment.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
  • Administer chemotherapy and manage hospice care for patients.
  • Participate in unit governance and contribute to team-based decision making.
