Saint Luke's South Hospital in Overland Park delivers high-quality health care to Johnson County, Kansas, and the surrounding communities. Saint Luke’s South has been certified by The Joint Commission in orthopedic joint replacement for hip and knee, and its maternity program earned the Kansas High 5 for Mom & Baby for care that supports breastfeeding best practices to support for mom and baby. Saint Luke’s South was the only hospital in Johnson County awarded five stars by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services based on quality measures including safety, effectiveness, and patient experience. The 125-bed acute care hospital offers including 24-hour emergency services, a spacious Birth & Women's Center with Level IIIa neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), the Jacobson & McElliott Diabetes & Endocrinology Center, the Goppert Breast Center, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services, and physician offices within the facility. Saint Luke’s South also provides comprehensive medical treatment through seven Saint Luke’s Community Hospitals offering inpatient and emergency care in your neighborhood. Due to the recent growth at this location we have recently expanded our PCU services to meet the demands of our patients and community. We are looking for positive nurses who enjoy working with a team, passionate about helping others expand their skill sets, patient centered and needs variety in their day to be satisfied in their work. This team builds on each other’s strengths and works together to help each grow their nursing skills; while keeping the patient first and providing exceptional care. These units will see a variety of patient conditions and treatments with an average stay of 3 to 4 days. These Progressive Care Units are cardiac focused, but not specialized. To be successful in these units; you need to be patient focused, team oriented and have a strong ability to change directions quickly. With the variety of acuity levels and patient conditions, you will need to be someone who embraces change and needs variety in their day to stay motivated and excited about your work. We are looking for collaborative and resourceful nurses who love empowering and teaching others.
