About The Position
Medcor Inc. is seeking Registered Nurses to join our team on a PRN (as-needed) basis at our occupational health clinic located in Universal City, CA. This position is ideal for those who are looking to pick up extra shifts and enjoy the flexibility of working both day and evening shifts. The pay rate for this role is $55.48 per hour. It is important to note that this is not a full-time position, and there are no guaranteed hours. Successful candidates should be available to pick up 4 to 6 shifts per month. As a Registered Nurse at Medcor, you will participate in all aspects of our daily operations at our clients' places of business. Your duties will include workplace incident triage, emergency response, and treatment for employees, contractors, and guests according to Medcor Care Protocols. You will be expected to have experience in treating minor illnesses and injuries, as well as managing major trauma and medical emergencies. A typical day for a Medcor Nurse involves leading a team that provides excellent customer service to our clients and employees, treating injuries and illnesses based on evidence-based medicine protocols, responding to medical emergencies, administering screenings and tests, and providing wellness education. You will also document patient information using an electronic medical record system and assist with daily clinic operations, including clerical tasks, IT support, medical supply management, and medical equipment maintenance. Additionally, you will assist with the initiation of Workers' Compensation claims and OSHA record-keeping. We are looking for nurses who possess solid clinical skills, have at least two years of experience in Occupational Health, Emergency Department, Urgent Care, or a related field, and are comfortable working independently in a clinic environment.
