About The Position
The Registered Nurse (PRN) position in Urgent Care Florence involves providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment. The role requires fostering an environment that demonstrates care, compassion, and respect for all patients, families, visitors, and co-workers. The nurse will be responsible for demonstrating proficiency in the use of all medical equipment in the office and adhering to procedural checklists for administering all immunizations and injections. Additionally, the nurse will ensure that all examination rooms are clean and fully stocked with supplies, including replacing any expired supplies. The nurse will call patients from the waiting area using appropriate titles and last names to a clean, well-stocked examination room, obtain and accurately document vital signs, confirm chief complaints, triage and perform in-house diagnostic testing according to orders, manage patient workflow in the clinical area, and provide support and assistance as needed to patients, nurses, physicians, and other staff. The nurse will also participate proactively in problem-solving and process improvement activities through collaboration with clinical teams using Evidence-Based Practices and perform other duties as assigned.
