About The Position
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Pre-op/PACU/PAT department at Methodist Southlake Medical Center, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This role requires a blend of technical nursing skills and compassionate patient care, ensuring that each patient receives the best possible support throughout their surgical journey. You will utilize the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide both direct and indirect care to patients. In this PRN position, your hours may vary, and you will be expected to work on different days as needed. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff, and the facility. This includes ensuring accurate and timely communication of patient information, administering medications and IVs safely, and taking personal responsibility for your professional growth and development. You will also be involved in the educational process for patients and their families, ensuring they understand their care and treatment plans. Your ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and communicate effectively with patients and their families will be key to your success in this role.
