About The Position

The position involves assessing the needs of patients based on data collected through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data. The nurse will provide appropriate nursing interventions that are consistent with the Plan of Care and standards of practice, incorporating the Physician's prescribed medical plans of care. The role includes conducting Hourly Rounds using service excellence standards and fostering an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for all patients, families, and visitors. Additionally, the nurse will contribute to department growth and performance through hospital-system initiatives that cultivate nursing-involved Evidence Based Practices. Continued professional growth is expected through setting goals and participating in educational offerings.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program.
• Must possess a valid South Carolina or compact (multi-state) RN license.
• Minimum 3-5 years Obstetrics/Labor & Delivery experience.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• PALS, ACLS, NRP certifications required within 6 months of hire.
