The Registered Nurse - PRN (As Needed) position in Home Health for Dillon County involves maintaining a professional image and exhibiting excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with the organization's Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. The nurse is responsible for assessing and implementing patient care using remote care technology to achieve optimal clinical outcomes. This role includes directing Licensed Practical Nurses to ensure quality patient care and collaborating with all caregiver staff, including team RNs, LPNs, HHAs, PT, OT, ST, MSW for interdisciplinary coordination of patient care. The nurse will provide field supervision of HHAs and work interdependently with Referral-Intake-Scheduling-Authorization (RISA) staff, managers, Practice Support, Billing Specialists, and clerical support. The position requires independent actions consistent with professional nursing standards and accountability to the Clinical Manager and Director of Clinical Services at McLeod Home Health. The nurse must manage their time productively and comply with attendance and reporting requirements. Knowledge of State Licensure Laws, federal health insurance program conditions, and home health agency regulations is desirable. Strong communication skills, attention to guest relations, and good interpersonal relationships are essential. The nurse must be adaptable, self-directed, and possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with growth and development principles over the lifespan is necessary to assess patient needs effectively. The role requires responsible, ethical behavior and effective interpersonal skills to contribute positively to the work climate and team effort. The nurse must adhere to dress code and attendance policies.
