Job Posting Title: Registered Nurse (Preop/Postop) Location: Frisco - Ambulatory Surgical Center Additional Posting Details: Monday - Friday Four 10-hour Day Shifts Job Description: Duties/Responsibilities Manage, delegate, and coordinate quality nursing care Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with peers, departmental leadership, and the interdisciplinary team Demonstrate accountability for professional practice by participating in educational activities, maintaining clinical competency, maintaining licensure and certifications, and completing mandatory education in a timely manner Deliver family centered, child-focused patient care according to the nursing process Utilize critical thinking and evidence-based nursing practice to provide patient care Serve as a preceptor, charge nurse, or competency validator Participate in departmental and/or hospital wide committees or task forces Participate in and support departmental and organizational change and provides suggestions Demonstrate the Scottish Rite CARE RITE values

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
  • Current Texas RN license or eligible for a temporary permit from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners
  • 2 or more years nursing experience required
  • Pediatric experience required
  • American Heart Association BLS PALS certification
  • Competent in Windows OS and the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • EPIC experience required
  • Full time or part time status required
  • Must submit proof of meeting the requirements as outlined in the Nursing Professional Development Advancement Program document annually to obtain and maintain RN III status
  • Working Conditions: Inside Working
  • Position: Sitting, Standing, and Walking
  • Physical Demands: Light Physical
  • Requirements: Lifting/Carrying, Pushing/Pulling and Repetitive Movements
  • Lifting or carrying between 35 - 50 lbs.
  • Sensory/Communicative activities essential to the performance of this position: Hearing, Seeing, and Speaking
  • This position will be exposed to Inside Environments, Bloodborne Pathogens and Respiratory Hazards
