About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) Preceptor role at BAYADA Home Health Care is designed for a passionate clinical educator who will train, coach, and mentor newly hired RNs and LPNs. This full-time position involves maintaining a small caseload of adult and geriatric patients in their homes across Rhode Island, ensuring exceptional care delivery while fostering the development of new nursing staff.

Requirements

• A current license as a Registered Nurse in Rhode Island
• A minimum of two years of recent Home Health experience
• Previous Precepting experience is a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Precept newly hired RNs and LPNs
• Provide one-on-one clinical training to all field RNs and LPNs during home visits
• Collaborate with the RN Clinical Manager and Clinical Educator to ensure ongoing staff competencies
• Perform assigned duties of the RN Case Manager, including administration of medication, wound care, treatments, and procedures
• Monitor clients' conditions; reporting changes to Clinical or Client Services Manager
• Follow up with, execute, and properly document doctors' orders
• Perform client assessments as necessary
• Case management and coordination
• Accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations pertaining to client care management and services provided, utilizing a touch pad tablet
