Registered Nurse - Pre/Post Op- PREMIUM Per Diem
About The Position
The River Hospital's Ambulatory Surgical Unit is seeking a Registered Nurse to join their team to work as a PREMIUM Per Diem Registered Nurse. Our Premium Per Diem Registered Nurses will be required to work a minimum of 4 shifts per month and those shifts must include hard to fill shifts, one weekend shift per schedule cycle and 2 holiday shifts per year (1 summer and 1 winter). Any coverage beyond that will require administrative approval from the Chief Nursing Officer. The range for this position will be a flat $50 - $55 hourly, exact rate will be based on total years of licensure as a Registered Nurse. Job purpose A clinically competent registered, licensed nurse who provides immediate, specialized emergency care with a multidisciplinary emergency medical service provider team. Must possess the basic and advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
Requirements
- Valid and current registration, New York State RN license
- At least 1 year direct perioperative, pre/post-op, and/or scrub/circulatory experience required.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certification within the first 60 days of hire. (free classes offered to employees onsite)
- Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development across the life span and the ability to use that knowledge to individualize the plan and delivery of care.
- It is the employee’s responsibility to know the requirements for certification, limited permit and licensure for their individual profession.
- It is also the responsibility of the employee to notify the employer of the status of any certification or licensure issue or potential issue.
- The employee will comply with all of the requirements outlined by the New York State Office of professions for the particular profession.
