About The Position

The Registered Nurse in the Pre-Operative/PACU department at EyeCare Partners is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients. This role involves direct patient care, maintaining a safe environment, and ensuring compliance with established standards and policies. The nurse will work closely with a team to provide high-quality care and support to patients undergoing eye procedures.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.
• Current RN License required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
• Previous nursing experience in settings such as ASC, PACU, ICU, Medical Surgical, or Telemetry floors.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients.
• Participate in direct patient care and maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and sound nursing judgment based on nursing theory.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other staff.
• Maintain accurate and legible medical records.
• Respond to emergent situations as needed.
• Assist in training new staff when necessary.
• Participate in continuing education and staff meetings.
