About the position
CVP Surgery Center- a partner practice of CVP is a single specialty ophthalmology only ambulatory surgery center, and we are looking for a Preop/PACU RN. Our ASC is looking for a talented Nurse who is able to prioritize tasks and have flexibility as priorities changes. The Nurse should demonstrate a positive attitude and follow AORN and APIC standards while functioning as a team member. We provide a collaborative and friendly work environment, with opportunities for nursing growth and training in Infection Control, QI/QA and leadership opportunities. We looking for team players who are detail orientated, compassionate and enjoy direct patient care, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. We believe in a strong culture of team work and work life balance, no ophthalmology experience needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide preoperative and postoperative care to patients in the ambulatory surgery center.
- Prioritize tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and follow AORN and APIC standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Participate in nursing growth and training opportunities.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN) associate degree required /BSN preferred.
- Current unrestricted Virginia or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- One year of ER, ICU, OR PACU, or OR experience preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification desired or must obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Must have reliable transportation.
