About the position

NMC Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Perianesthesia Department. In this role, you will provide professional nursing care to both inpatients and outpatients of all ages. You will conduct comprehensive assessments of patient and family needs, plan, coordinate, and deliver nursing care, including teaching, counseling, and direct physical care. You will evaluate patient responses to care and monitor progress toward desired outcomes, assist other healthcare personnel with delegated aspects of patient care, and perform other related duties as assigned. Additionally, you will function as an active member of the interdisciplinary care team to ensure holistic, coordinated care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care to both inpatients and outpatients of all ages.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient and family needs.
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver nursing care, including teaching, counseling, and direct physical care.

Requirements

  • ADN/BSN degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited school of nursing or diploma in nursing required.
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Kansas.
  • Certification in CPR/Basic Life Support.
  • Certification in Advance Cardiac Life Support recommended.
  • PALS Certification.
