About The Position

Responsible for managing designated operational unit to ensure superior customer service and patient care in a highly efficient and cost-effective manner. Oversees clinical operations, as well as the day to day operational activities supporting designated practice. Acts as point person for any and all practice related activities and issues. Able to analyze challenging clinical situations and problem solve and enact solutions. Provides office-based nursing care in collaboration with provider Communicates with provider regarding patient needs, nursing assessments, and recommendations Assesses physical and psychosocial needs and environmental factors affecting patients and their families, formulates nursing plan of care and ensures continuity of patient care through appropriate nursing evaluation and intervention Assists patients and family members or other clients with concern and empathy; Provides information and education to patients and their families based on identified needs Collects and documents current health status and medical history and assists in scheduling patient office visits Reviews patient records, including preoperative records, to ensure completeness and reviews outstanding issues with provider Under direction of provider, calls in prescription medications to pharmacies and observes and documents patient’s response to pertinent medications Administers medications according to policy and procedure Triages telephone calls and displays ability to initiate appropriate nursing intervention in prompt, precise, and professional manner Maintains active involvement with Clinical Quality Improvement activities Monitors employee performance and conducts effective performance evaluation sessions Regularly documents issues, performs disciplinary/coaching sessions and keeps management apprised of significant personnel and operational issues Drives the development and execution of short- and long-term business plans by collaborating with physician leadership and corporate administration in strategic planning and marketing for the practice Participates in inter-departmental meetings and serves as liaison to outside stakeholders Develops, implements, monitors and documents policies, procedures, and protocols that ensure compliance with all internal policies and external regulations Travel required between Norwich and Mystic Infusion offices. Perform other related duties as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • CT- Active RN license
  • 3 years of nursing experience in acute or ambulatory care practice
  • Ability to collaborate with other nurses and healthcare team members to coordinate and delegate activities to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of patient
