About The Position
During summer school, ensures that the health needs of identified students are met. May provide extra services for students with Individual Education Plans (IEP). Monitors and evaluates service delivery by the other health care staff. Ensures adequate communication is provided to others participating in the care of the students. This position is for SUMMER SCHOOL ONLY.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Degree plus a minimum of two (2) years of directly related clinical experience.
- Current license to practice as a professional nurse in the State of Tennessee required.
- Certification in First Aid, Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation ( CPR) and Automatic External Defibrillator(AED), some ventilator knowledge, and a Tennessee driver's license required.
- Commitment for the entire period of summer school.
- May involve missing some district training opportunities.
- You must complete a survey before we will consider your summer school application.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in pediatrics or school nursing services preferred.
- Master’s degree in Nursing preferred.
