Under the supervision of a nurse leader (Chief Nursing Officer, Clinical Director, Clinical Supervisor, and Clinical Nurse Leader), independently prescribes, delegates, and coordinates nursing care to the acutely ill patient and performs the nursing process through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of safe, therapeutic care for patients . The scope of practice is in accordance with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, ANA Code of Ethics, and California Nurse Practice Act Board of Registered Nurses of the State of California. Essential Functions Client Consultation and Assessment: Conduct thorough consultations with clients to assess their aesthetic concerns, goals, and medical history. Evaluate and analyze the client's skin condition, including texture, tone, and elasticity. Discuss available treatment options, potential risks, benefits, and expected outcomes. Develop personalized treatment plans based on client needs and preferences. Esthetic Treatments: Perform a variety of esthetic procedures within your scope of practice, such as: Botox injections for facial rejuvenation and wrinkle reduction. Dermal fillers for lip augmentation, cheek enhancement, and facial contouring. Chemical peels to improve skin texture, tone, and pigmentation. Laser treatments for hair removal, skin resurfacing, and vascular conditions. Micro needling for collagen induction and skin rejuvenation. Non-surgical body contouring treatments. Skin care treatments, including facials and microdermabrasion. Administer anesthetics, if required, and ensure the comfort and safety of clients during procedures. Monitor clients for any adverse reactions or complications and provide appropriate interventions. Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile treatment environment. Patient Education and Aftercare: Educate clients about the procedures, including pre- and post-treatment care instructions. Address client questions and concerns, providing accurate and clear information. Advise clients on skincare products, maintenance routines, and lifestyle modifications to enhance treatment results. Follow up with clients to monitor their progress, ensure satisfaction, and address any post-treatment issues. Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate and detailed client records, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes. Adhere to legal, regulatory, and professional standards related to esthetic treatments. Comply with applicable laws, guidelines, and industry best practices for documentation, privacy, and consent. Professional Development: Stay updated on the latest esthetic techniques, products, and industry trends through continuous education and training. Attend workshops, conferences, and seminars to enhance your skills and knowledge. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and esthetic specialists to exchange expertise and best practices.
