Requirements

  • Credentials as a Registered Nurse with a current state license (PA - Pennsylvania) in good standing for the state in which work is performed
  • Valid, current BLS/CPR and First Aid certification
  • Must be at last 21 years of age
  • Meets the qualifications of a Child Care Supervisor as described in 55 Pa. Code Chapter 3800
  • This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Care & Assessment. Deliver high-quality nursing care for medically complex pediatric residents.
  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing clinical evaluations.
  • Monitor residents closely and respond promptly to changes in condition.
  • Administer medications and advanced therapies, including IV therapy, TPN, and other complex treatments.
  • Support emergency response and maintain clinical readiness during urgent situations.
  • Care Planning & Coordination. Ensure each child receives individualized, developmentally appropriate care.
  • Lead and implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s clinical and developmental needs.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, respiratory staff, and families to support coordinated care.
  • Advocate for residents and ensure care decisions reflect the child’s best interests and well-being.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship. Provide guidance and support to the nursing care team.
  • Supervise and mentor LPNs and Nurse Technicians to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and role model for team members.
  • Promote effective communication and teamwork across the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Safety, Compliance & Quality. Maintain the highest standards of clinical practice and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure care delivery meets pediatric safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical best practices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient confidentiality.
  • Accountability. You will be fully accountable for delivering safe, developmentally appropriate, and compassionate pediatric care to the children entrusted to us.
