Registered Nurse – Pediatrics (Infant/Toddler) - 25-34584
About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Registered Nurse to provide overnight care for infant and toddler patients in an acute care hospital setting. This role requires strong pediatric nursing skills, the ability to work independently during night shifts, and flexibility to support unit operations as needed. Scheduling & Assignment Details Night shift: 3x12 schedule Assignment begins approximately three weeks after contract execution Local candidates accepted (local rate applies within a defined mileage radius) Facility may call off up to one shift every two weeks All Requested Time Off (RTO) must be submitted at time of submission and is subject to facility approval Free on-site parking available
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license (South Carolina)
- BLS and PALS certifications (required)
- Minimum 1 year of pediatric or acute care RN experience
- Strong communication, assessment, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to comply with floating requirements within demonstrated competencies
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Nice To Haves
- Previous NICU experience (preferred but not required)
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, age-appropriate nursing care to infant and toddler patients
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing monitoring
- Administer medications and treatments per provider orders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient care plans
- Educate and support patients’ families and caregivers
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record
- Float to other qualified pediatric units as required based on census needs
