We have an exciting part-time opportunity available at the Pediatric Office on Landmark Ave. in Bloomington, IN! The ideal candidate will work closely assisting physicians and clinical staff in educating and advocating for our pediatric patients. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who likes a challenging busy clinical environment! This position will allow the RN to grow and learn professionally on a daily basis. We have hours available Monday-Friday 8a-5p, with the potential to pick up extra hours in the evenings and on weekends. Minimal weekend and holiday requirements. Staff work together in a team-based model and encompass compassion, purpose, and excellence in their care. This position is 32 hours per week Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Weekends 8a-12p (will work 7-8 Saturdays per year) Holidays 4-6 hr shift (will work 1-2 holiday shifts per year)

Requirements

  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Two years experience in an ambulatory setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of procedures for performing the functions appropriate to the specific clinical area and familiarity with designated pieces of equipment and supplies.
  • Requires ability to coordinate a number of functions for a group of patients in an effective timely manner.
  • Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
  • Requires ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years experience in an ambulatory setting preferred.
