About The Position

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Pediatric Emergency Department at Wolfson Children's Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time, Nights shift opportunity with a commitment of 36 hours per week. As a Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Emergency Department, responsibilites include but are not limited to: Provides patient care to the critically ill pediatric population utilizing all aspects of the nursing process. Administers medications per hospital policies and procedures. Demonstrates professionalism when interacting with patients, families, physicians, representatives from other departments and any other customers. Certification Requirements: Must maintain certifications as follows: Basic Life Support upon hire. Within one year of hire of hire into the department, RN must complete and maintain certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nurse Core Certification (TNCC), CPI, Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course(PEARS) Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC), and (STABLE). For nurses with no prior pediatric experience, must take Pediatric Emergency and Advanced Resuscitation and Stabilization (PEARS) within orientation period. Requirements

  • 3-5 Years Experience in Clinical Specialty
  • 1 year Emergency Nursing Experience Required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course Certification (TNCC) Required
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification Required
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) Required
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required
