We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Cardiac ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-acuity pediatric critical care environment in Houston, Texas. This role focuses on caring for critically ill pediatric patients with congenital heart disease and post-operative cardiac conditions. Requirements

Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum of 1 year recent Pediatric ICU experience in an acute care hospital.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (within required timeframe).
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (within required timeframe).
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (within required timeframe).
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN); enrollment in BSN program required if not already obtained.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
CCRN certification.
Prior experience in a pediatric cardiac ICU or children’s hospital environment.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients with congenital heart disease and post-cardiac surgery needs.
Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individualized, family-centered plans of care.
Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and developmentally appropriate care environment.
Monitor complex cardiac patients, interpret hemodynamic data, and respond to changes in patient condition.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support optimal clinical outcomes.
Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
Incorporate patient and family education into all aspects of care delivery.
