The Pediatric and Women’s Services unit provides care for general medical/surgical Pediatric patients and adult GYN patients, emphasizing high-quality, family-centered care. The unit utilizes daily Interdisciplinary Rounding for effective communication among team members and families, features skilled RN staff, 9 patient beds, and a 6-week orientation for new nurses. The unit culture promotes a healthy work environment, interdisciplinary collaboration, and quality patient outcomes, with a strong focus on patient safety and numerous Daisy Award recognitions for compassionate care. Requirements

  • Requires Associates of Nursing (ASN)
  • Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
  • Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies
  • Experienced nurses

  • Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Care for general medical/surgical Pediatric patients
  • Care for adult GYN patients
  • Provide high quality care in a family centered care atmosphere
  • Participate in daily Interdisciplinary Rounding to provide great communication between team members and families
  • Apply Pediatric specific training
  • Perform PALS and BLS procedures
  • Provide breast feeding education
