The Pediatric and Women’s Services unit provides care for general medical/surgical Pediatric patients and adult GYN patients, emphasizing high-quality, family-centered care. The unit utilizes daily Interdisciplinary Rounding for effective communication among team members and families, features skilled RN staff, 9 patient beds, and a 6-week orientation for new nurses. The unit culture promotes a healthy work environment, interdisciplinary collaboration, and quality patient outcomes, with a strong focus on patient safety and numerous Daisy Award recognitions for compassionate care. Requirements

Requires Associates of Nursing (ASN)
Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse
Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program
Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies
Experienced nurses

Responsibilities

Care for general medical/surgical Pediatric patients
Care for adult GYN patients
Provide high quality care in a family centered care atmosphere
Participate in daily Interdisciplinary Rounding to provide great communication between team members and families
Apply Pediatric specific training
Perform PALS and BLS procedures
Provide breast feeding education
