“We dedicate our lives to caring for yours” Position Description: RN - Pediatrics The Pediatric Registered Nurse works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of pediatric patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. The Pediatric Registered Nurse is also responsible for professional accountability and development. Requirements
- Registered Nurse license
- BLS
- At least one year of RN acute care experience
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
Nice To Haves
- Pediatric RN experience preferred
- PALS
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Responsibilities
- The registered nurse collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in plan of care
- Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with pediatric patient, family, and significant others
- Identifies pediatric patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment.
