About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) position in the PCU Clinical Observation unit at AdventHealth involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients with a variety of diagnoses. The role emphasizes the nursing process, patient safety, effective communication, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care. The RN will work in a full-time capacity during day shifts, focusing on observation patients and supporting their clinical needs in a family-centered environment.

Requirements

• Graduate of a school of nursing.
• Current valid State of Florida or multistate license as a Registered Nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Advanced Life Support Certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP) as required by specialty/unit.
• EKG certification.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Professional Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide and supervise direct and indirect nursing care to patients.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Complete timely assessments including physiological, psychological, and sociocultural factors.
• Set measurable and achievable goals for patients based on assessments and diagnoses.
• Demonstrate knowledge of diagnostic data and apply it to patient care.
• Adhere to infection prevention protocols and medication safety policies.
• Promote exceptional patient experiences through effective communication and relationship building.
