About The Position

Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking a REGISTERED NURSE to join our PALLIATIVE CARE UNIT team! The Registered Nurse is a professional who assumes the responsibility and accountability for the provision of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care provided that incorporates evidence-based practice. A key aspect of the work of Nursing is to continually improve the quality of nursing care by collecting and analyzing data.

Requirements

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Certification in specialty desired.
• Minimum of three years practicing as a RN in a comparative setting.
• Possess an active Wisconsin and/or Michigan RN nursing license.
• Maintain specialty certification as per department scope of service.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS, PALS, or NRP certification may be required based on primary department.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care.
• Conduct assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
• Incorporate evidence-based practice into nursing care.
• Collect and analyze data to improve the quality of nursing care.
