About The Position

The Registered Nurse in the Pain Clinic is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. This role involves collaboration with healthcare team members, patient education, and leadership in maintaining professional nursing standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• 2 years of clinical experience working in a physician's office or in an ambulatory care setting preferred.
• Possess current license as an RN in Pennsylvania, or must pass nursing boards within 6 months of hire.
• BLS required or obtained within 1 month of hire.
• ACLS training required or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and recording patient care in accordance with medical and nursing plans of care, policies, and procedures.
• Participating in teaching and involving individuals and their families in health promotion, maintenance, restoration, and rehabilitation.
• Coordinating discharge planning in conjunction with other members of the health team.
• Directing and assisting with the Licensed Practical Nurse, Nursing Assistant, and Nursing Student in rendering care to patients.
• Working collaboratively with all members of the patient care team and providing leadership to maintain professional nursing practice standards.
• Responding quickly and appropriately to changes in patients' clinical condition.
• Functioning as a charge nurse as assigned.
• Demonstrating knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan and identifying age-specific needs for care planning.
