About The Position
Registered Nurse – PACU (Nights, FTE) Location: Helena, MT The Staff Pad has partnered with a hospital in Helena, MT to hire a PACU RN for night shifts. This role provides direct postoperative care for patients from neonates to geriatrics, monitors physiological status, and collaborates with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; current Montana RN license
- PACU or critical care experience required
- BLS/ACLS required
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities
- Provide direct care in the PACU and immediate postoperative environment
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and intervene to maintain stability
- Communicate patient status with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and care teams
- Assist with PACU equipment, inventory, and performance improvement activities
- Cross-train in OR, infection control, moderate sedation, and environment of care
