About The Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) This position is PRN. Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort during the recovery process. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition post-anesthesia. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician. - Assess patients' recovery progress and respond to any complications or emergencies. - Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding post-operative care. - Collaborate with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress. - Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients. Qualifications: - Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. - Previous experience in PACU, critical care, or similar nursing environment is an advantage. - Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. - Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required. Skills: - Excellent patient care and interpersonal skills. - Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems. - Strong organizational and time management abilities. - Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. - Commitment to continuous professional development and education. - Requires regular and predictable attendance.
